Emergency First Aid at Work

This is a popular course designed to equip workplaces with the relevant first aid training to deal with common work place emergencies and accidents.

The course is taught over one practical day of attendance (6 hours). This course will cover emergency situations and illnesses in order to prepare participants for workplace emergencies. 

Learners can expect to understand how to deal with the most common medical emergencies within the workplace. By its conclusion learners walk away with a nationally recognised qualification, which is valid for a 3 year period.

• Responsibilities of the first aider
• Unconscious casualty 
• Resuscitation of a non-breathing casualty (CPR)
• Automated External Defibrillator (AED)
• Choking
• Major bleeding
• Minor injuries & burns
• Seizures

The course is suitable for the majority of workplaces across the UK which are considered low risk in nature. This includes shops, restaurants, gyms, hotels, warehouses and many more.

The qualification can empower people with the confidence to deal with a medical emergency within the workplace. It also helps meet the requirements of the HSE, regarding the number of first aiders required within the workplace.
